Origin Of Primary Source

OOPS is a three-month residency exploring where contemporary art meets blockchain technology. It asks practitioners to engage with NFTs as artistic registers, and as systems of knowledge, documentation and access.

The first edition runs from 20 September to 20 December 2026. It is remote, with community engagement designed through online meetings. The open call has closed.

The name reworks object-oriented programming. In that framework, an object is a reusable structure that gives rise to many unique instances — and OOPS takes it as a playful site for exploring where source ideas come from, through four pillars: Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction, Encapsulation.

The object is central. The residency explores the duality in shaping it: do ideas expand outward from the object, or is the object what the process leads to?
